RES&CON Engineering builds measurement, traceability and data collection systems on the production floor. We do not run the work from a single place: we move forward with the firms we partner with on hardware, software and field work. One point of contact per project, with the team behind it as wide as the job requires.
One of us worked for eight years across four separate levels of the production floor — a path running from the shop floor to deputy production director. Why a line stops, why a number does not add up and why a system is not adopted on site: learned from inside those levels, not from a desk.

days of measurement, then the decision
A factory's most expensive problem is not breakdown, it is the unknown. How many minutes the line stopped last night, how much was produced on which shift, how many pallets went out — when these are unknown, every argument rests on memory and every decision on a guess.

More systems are installed and switched off within weeks than keep running. The reason is usually not technical: instead of making the work easier for the person on the floor, the system adds a new burden. We do the opposite.
